What makes a good film poster.

WHAT MAKES A GOOD FILM POSTER?

A Good film poster is a film poster that shows the main characters; and have a slogan saying something giving a sneak peak of whats going to happen in the film, has colors to represent the genre of the film, maybe showing a enemy; and a good guy; i also think that the title of the film should be eye-catching and the picture should blend in with the background, or stand out from it; to make it distinct, and eye-catching.

Different Film Marketing Methods and what they are suitable for.

1) Viral Marketing, High Budget Marketing, Low Budget Marketing, posters, CD's, duvet covers, Books,

2) Creating a Facebook group about a film is best suits to a film who's audience is teenagers because teenagers are most likely to be on Facebook.
Creating a Film related toy given away with a happy meal best suits to a film who's audience is young children because the toys will make the children want to see the film.

3) Today i learned that some film marketing methods are suited to a particular genres of film. For example: having a film poster printed in a womens magazine for a film is best suited to a  film which is from the genre chick flick because women would read the magazine and would see the poster and want too see the film.
Today i learned that some film marketing methods are suited to a particular genres of film. For example: having a i-phone app for a film is best suited to a film which is from the genre 12+ because people that have an app of the film, they would look at the app, and see the info for the app, they would want to see the film.

Films Marketing Research

Film Marketing: Film marketing is when a company spends lots of money, advertising their film, letting people know what it is about, i.e, advertising their film, on the television, radio, e.c.t.

A film poster: A film poster is a poster, with some main points of the film on it, too give a sneak peek on what the film maybe about, it would also show the celebs in the movie, to grab peoples attention, and make people watch this film, also, it shows what type of film it is, i,e horror would have blood. e.c.t
Three men and a baby wearing sunglasses.

Film Trailer: A Film Trailer is a clip put together showing short parts of the film, to get the watchers attention, and want to see more. They are usually shown on television, or at the start of a film; By showing a film trailer, it makes people want to see more, and go and see the film.
Lately I have seen the Immortal film trailer; it was good, as it showed some main points of the film; which made me want too see more, it also, seemed to be a film that i'd like too see, I can tell this, as the trailer showed some clips of the film.

Film Merchandise: Film merchandise, is products made from the film they have produced, i,e Shrek toys were made, as the film Shrek was created, or setting in the film.

These are Merchandise from the film "Shrek".
Click to show "puss in boots toy" result 4

A film website, is a website that advertises a film that has been released, it has background info on the film, and behind the scenes, it tells you information about the film, and the producers e.c.t.

[ ALIEN AUTOPSY POSTER ]

This film is called, "Alien Autopsy", the slogan they have wrote is "Prepared to be stitched up", this is because the film is about an alien autopsy, i.e, cutting an alien open, They have also, wrote LIE in a different colour, as the film is based on a lie. They have used gloomy colours, as alien autopsy is not a nice film genre, so if they used dim colours it would enhance the film, also they have used this as there in a hostpital room, whilst doing the autopsy, They Have used Ant and Dec as they're comedians and this film is a comedical film.

Representation on Teenagers.

Intro
The research found that fewer than one in 10 articles about young people actually included their perspectives in the debateI Have chosen to represent the media's view on teenagers, i have chosen this, as i can relate to people i know, or have experienced it, Teenagers are very stereotyped, as the drunk, hoodie wearing, and noisy people, when really, that's only a certain few teenagers.

Television

Eastenders;
Click to show "Jay eastenders" result 2Jay from Eastenders, was stereotyped as a typical 'teenager' as he used to wear Hoodies, and used to hang around in Gangs, he was proposed as a typical teenager; lazy, wearing hoodies, hanging around in gangs, carrying knives. This is a typical stereotype of a typical teenager.

Skins;
Skins is a very stereotypical program, as all the characters, are drunk, take drugs, and have sex with each other  this is a stereotype, as the media have pursued the teenagers as Kids, who party all the time, having sex, taking drugs e.c.t.
Click to show "skins series 1" result 5

Films:

Click to show "kidulthood" result 8KidultHood;
This film is a very stereotypical film, as it is showing people, who fight people, get drunk, steal things, e.c.t, This film, is showing the viewers, a group of teenagers, who cause chaos, drinking drink, taking drugs, e.c.t, This film is a typical stereotype of a gang of teenagers.

Anuvahood;
This film is a stereotypical film, as there is a part in the film where 2 Guys,
go to stab ("shank") Kay, this is stereotyped, as the media have stereotyped, This scene, as typical teenagers are people with hoods up who carry knives, and shank people. This film is a Typical stereotype of what a typical teenager would do, due to stereotyped typical teenagers, this film shows teenagers as aggressive, loud, drug addicts, and more.

Click to show "anuvahood" result 1

News

Three of the teenagers leave court

Stories like this in the media like this story, about 8 youths who have committed 90 crimes in the last 13 months, have been locked up for no less than 16 years; makes people think that all teenagers are like this, committing crimes, getting drunk e.c.t.

The media have stereotyped all teenagers to be like these eight youths who have been locked up, however, there are very few teenagers like this, this stereotype is very unfair on teenagers who follow the law, and don't do everything that the stereotyped Teenager would do.

CONCLUSION

To conclude; teenagers are stereotyped as loud, hoodie wearing, loud, adolescents. However, this stereotype is not suited for most teenagers, however, the stereotype has only been made, as they're are few teenagers who hang around in gangs, and wear hoodies..; however the stereotype has been made for all teenagers; which i think personally is unfair, as an adolescent, however, films such as Anuvahood; Kidulthood, are encouraging, this stereotype. However, the film is just a film, not real life, but people who watch this film, may think that this is suited too all teenagers, however, not all teenagers, are the stereotyped teenager that the media have stereotyped as a "typical teenager".
